Raising Awareness Towards a Cure

You don't know much about pediatric brain tumors? We knew nothing about them either. In fact, we didn't even know a child could survive a brain tumor. Until our son had one.
About Anthony's Army

Why we help
It’s simple. We help because we want Anthony to find a purpose in his struggle. When Anthony was diagnosed, we were told that a cure for his tumor was a recent development in the medical world. Through the research and advancement of medicine, our son survived what others hadn’t. We want to aid research efforts so other children can have the same outcome. We help because Anthony inspires us to do something. So, we started by doing what we could.
Our history
On September 24, 2014, Anthony Michael Muoio was diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor. The following day, he underwent a 9-hour surgery to remove the tumor. Currently, Anthony is 3 years tumor-free. He is a brave, strong, active 3-year-old who loves to laugh. His compassion for others is unparalleled. Since his surgery, Anthony was diagnosed with epilepsy. He also struggles with hemispheres (a partial paralysis of his right side) due to a stroke he suffered during surgery. The effects of a pediatric brain tumor on survivors can be permanent. And, like with Anthony’s epilepsy, they can show up years later. Despite his struggles, Anthony continues to help spread awareness and capture the hearts of everyone he meets.
We Proudly Support

Through Anthony's journey we have come to know some amazing organizations. We proudly support their mission and join in their efforts to fight for the causes close to their hearts.
